In Memoriam

This is my most favorite picture of many favorite pictures of our dear sweet Wendy. She left us today after 15 wonderful years. Here she was as a joyful 4-year old pup in this post from the archives which was originally published in April 2014 (see below).

Wendy adored running in green green grass and chasing after balls and butterflies. Roast chicken was a preferred dish. She also loved to go for dips in the sea and was equally enamored of snow and rolling in the cold fluffy stuff. She was there when we were happy, when we were sad, when we were sick. And now she’s no longer.

We miss you so, Wendy. Our hearts are breaking.

Come back from the other side.

Come back.

The Joy of Spring in Pian del Lago, Siena, Tuscany – Post from 2014

A beautiful day, after Easter. The sun shines, the grass waves, the flowers bloom in this old field where military planes took off and landed during WWII. Wendy races through, blurry with speed and joy.

Oh, to be young and swift and vibrant under the sun and amidst the green!

  1. “What else is there to say?” Yes, this is definitely one of those times when a picture tells more than 1,000 words. 🙂

    Gorgeous, happy, joyful shot, Natalia!
