Yesterday the wind from the north blew away the smog from Milan. The Alps ringing the city emerged from the habitual muck that obscures them from view. And above Piazza Duomo, the gold Madonnina~~newly polished as part of the cathedral restoration project~~ shone in the blue blue sky.
I miss my Italy, but I don’t miss the pollution.
On clear days like last Monday you can see how things used to be before all the smog clogged the view.
I know, the air in Milano is very bad.
Which is why we escape whenever we can. How about where you live?
I left my home land of Italy and expatriated to California, half hour outside San Francisco.
California sounds wonderful!!!!
